I was walking past an art classroom yesterday, when I heard a very loud wailing. I poked my head into the classroom and discovered the source--middle school art students, handling their anxiety over a project by giggling, wailing, and some just lying silently. Naturally, upon seeing it was a "Kodak moment," I rushed to get my camera and snapped a few shots.
Unless I'm mistaken, they were making molds of their faces for a mask project.
If you're like me, just looking at these photos takes your breath away. (Kids are so brave!)
I thought these two clowns (boys) were pretty cute...
These photos also reminded me of my poor sister, Michelle, who because of a couple of incidents in childhood could never even think of doing this art project (she'd definitely lose her mind in the process.)
How about you? Do you have any problem having your face covered? Would such a project be your idea of fun, or would you run the other way?
