Company!

We have a house guest. As the photo below shows, Gus (the cat) would consider Clyde an unwelcome guest.

However, the rest of us (even Cooper, our Golden Retriever) like him a lot. (Okay, well Cooper sort of tolerates the little bugger, but the rest of us have found our hearts melty, sloppy messes over this little guy.) I challenge you to keep your heart from slipping through your ribcage after viewing this:

Even after he peed on the bedroom rug, we fought to take the blame "It was my fault." "No, I should have taken him out earlier." In unison, we said, "I'll clean it up."

I'm guessing this is how grandparents behave; they don't have the kids long enough to be annoyed when they make mess after mess and have to be followed all over the house. We don't mind at all right now (one day into puppy duty, with only one potty accident.) By Wednesday, we'll probably be ready to hand him back. At least I hope we will, because I don't want another dog, but I'm starting to hope Clyde's owner forgets where he left him. Fat chance!

  3. That is the cutest puppy I've ever seen! (but please don't tell Madame and Mighty Dog that I said so)
