Did you see it?

*Kendall had an audition for the middle school musical after school today, so we didn't end up leaving school until dark. On the way home, on a long, straight stretch of country road, I was blown away by a sight that made me pull over and reach for my camera. Straight ahead, at the top of a long, steep hill, the full moon hovered over a metallic-silver ribbon of ice-covered road. Absolutely breathtaking. Imagine my disappointment to find my camera without a battery (left it at school in the charger!) So, I never got my photo. I'm not an artist, either, but I hope I've painted a picture here if you didn't get to see it. Moments ago, the four of us went outside to watch the lunar eclipse. That, too, was something to see. I look forward to seeing photos tomorrow...think Pioneer Woman will have something? (If not, there's always "that butt...")

*From now on, I'm using my kids' real names. I figure if you don't know us, you're not going to find us from their first names, and if you do know us, "The Girl" ain't foolin' you anyhow!

  1. Once I started my very amateur photography attempts, I kicked myself even harder for missing such opportunities!
