Friday Fragments

Welcome to Friday Fragments; bits and pieces of my week that were too good to lose, but too short to stand alone. For more on Friday Fragments, click here.

I have a new feature here with my Friday Fragments, inspired by Abby, of Me and My Boys. Each week, I will post my Favorite Friday Fragment from the week before. This time, it was Abby's fragment that I loved the most (among others, of course!). I'm sure you'll see why...

-I realize that I am due for a highlight, really I do, but I didn't think it was that bad. Anyway, one of my first graders looked at me yesterday and said "Your hair is turning black!" So brutally honest! I guess it could have been worse, she could have said "Your hair is turning gray!" or "Your hair is falling out!". So I will be making an appointment today!

Abby, congratulations! I invite you to take this button, which proclaims you as a "Favorite Friday Fragmenter"! (That and a nickel will get you something, but I'm not sure what!)

If Abby's fragment wasn't funny enough, watch this! (Proof positive that funny is funny in any language!)

And, in the Sweet-as-Ever department, check out Mandy's pics of her little boy watching for Santa at a parade last week. Way too cute!

Brought some of my krumkake to the Choir Booster Club Bake Sale on Tuesday night. The lady behind the table remembered it from last year and imediately set in aside for herself to purchase! How's that for an endorsement?! If you haven't already, read When Kaka Means Yummy at Mrs.4444 Cooks to learn more.

Please continue to pray for Molly and for other parents who have lost children this year, especially. Holidays are never easy for grieving parents, but this first one is already proving to be a "living nightmare" for my dear friend. This week, the story hit the news again, opening barely-healed wounds, as the young man who sold Ryan the heroine has been charged and is facing 40 years in prison. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, my heart goes out to you, and I promise to keep you in my prayers...

Mr.4444 wants to add a tip for snooping kids out there: Instead of looking for your Christmas presents, be more efficient. Snoop for receipts, instead--it's a lot easier!
