Tony to the Rescue

This morning, as I prepared to leave for work, poor Mr.4444 was suffering with a cold, still in bed. Shortly before 6:30am, I heard him call me back to the bedroom (No, not for that, you sassy!!) He said that there was a problem. (And no, it's not the dirty windows.) I grabbed my camera and tried to capture it on film. Can you see it?

If you look closer, you will see the best shot that I could get of the psychotic robin attacking the bedroom windows, over and over again...

Did you notice the crazed look in his eye?!  That little bugger was persistent; he was willing to risk beak and wing to keep that imagined interloper away from his family.  Mr.4444 asked me to shoo him away; I stood in the window for a minute, but he came back as soon as I walked away. Kyle went outside and yelled at him, and then we had to leave for school.

That Mr.4444 is pretty persistent, too. When I came home from work today, he told me that he had finally beat that blasted bird, with a little help from Tony...

Yes, even without a crotch, Tony Danza is a force to be reckoned with!

  1. You are my HERO for having a life size cut out of Tony Danza. Seriously, I want you to send me your autograph. And a lock of your hair.

    Too far?

    ;)

  6. I don't know what happened to his poor crotch, Weaselmomma. I'm sure there's a story, but I do not know it.

Gucci Mama, sure. Just send me your underwear, and I will autograph them, hahaha.

Tony's been with us since about 2003. Wouldn't it be funny if the real Tony stopped by and saw what we're using him for?! :)

  18. So, years ago, on my former walking partner's 50th birthday, we had a little surprise for her at the mall after walking, and since we called George W. Bush her boyfriend (Don't ask!) I had a lifesize cutout of him there for her. She loved it and he now is in their spare bedroom, but I will refrain from comments about whether he is missing any parts!!

  19. Much excitement at your house today. Maybe the bird saw his reflection and it bothered him. Or maybe he thought it was his mother-in-law.

  20. We have the same problem with a bluebird. He attacks our windows in our kitchen. Very cute bird, but he makes a mess. Maybe we can borrow Tony for a while. Nothing we tried seems to work. He did it last year too1

  21. Anonymous, any time. And if whoever has Judith Light decides to return her to us, you can borrow her, too! :)

Geri, that is awesome. I'll bet your friend gets a lot of mileage out of that!

Oscar, no. Not on a school day, haha :)

  22. I don't know about your husband, but I'm a big baby when it comes to being sick. And I've heard that most men are too. I just don't do illness very well. But it looks like he has quite the sense of humor despite being down for the count.

  23. Oh I could have used this yesterday!!! LOVE it!!! Get well soon, Mr. 4444!

  24. That's hysterical! I love it.

I noticed that Oscar mentioned a carboard cutout of Mark Martin. I have a funny story about me and Mark Martin.

I lived in the same neighborhood as Mark Martin and one day I was riding by his workout room, the giant door was open, (it was an airplane hangar that he used as a workout room) I noticed him standing there - so I flashed a giant smile and gave a big hearty wave...only to notice that he was in his full fireproof NASCAR suit and holding his helmet under his arm...yes, I waved enthusiastically at a cardboard cutout.

I hide my head when I tell that story and yet I laugh. It was so funny.

  25. Now I know that if we have robin problems I could always use the cardboard cutout of Britany Spears that my husband has in the garage! lol

  26. I'm thrilled you had Tony to help. I had a poor bluebird that spent a whole spring beatin' itself against the bedroom window.

God bless and have a wonderful day!!!

  27. I've had birds do that, too, driving me nuts! And they always do that in the morning when you're trying to sleep!
