My grandma (Mom's mom) passed away in 1976. As it goes with all weddings and funerals, it was a time when we cousins (less a handful, who are not pictured here) were all together in one place, so we took a photo to mark the moment in time. See if you can figure out which one is me.
I have no clue! I'm guessing maybe in the front in the yellow dress...although I think 33 years ago you would have been younger. Toward the back, short hair, sitting in front of the guy with the tie and between two older girls?
ReplyDeleteI think you are the girl on the left hand side, in a green overall type dress with a striped shirt. That looks like your smile and about the right age.
ReplyDeleteMan, I keep picking one, then seeing another one and changing my mind!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say you're the one in the middle, purple flowered dress, hands folded in front of your knees.
1976 makes you about 10 years old. That narrows it down to about two girls in the picture. Unfortunately, the girl in front with the yellow dress isn't looking at the camera. It's either her or the one on the left in the green dress with the striped shirt.
ReplyDeleteBut something tells me that you were a girl who was focused, and that you would have been looking and smiling at the camera.
I'll go with the cute girl in the green dress and the striped shirt.
No clue which is you, but you sure do have a lot of cousins
ReplyDeletei agree with matty and kirby3131, i think you're the girl on the left with the colorful striped shirt and green overalls.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing the second one from the left in the green near the front.
ReplyDeleteThe one in front, not looking.
ReplyDeleteI was born that year...
I am going with the girl on the left in the green overalls as well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture!
Yes, the green jumper looks like it could be you but age wise I would say the little girl in the polka dots toward the back.
ReplyDeleteI'm with the crowd. The green dress.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the majority. That's you in the awesome striped shirt. Right?
ReplyDeleteHmm...Black shirt with red striped skirt.
ReplyDeleteSPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!
ReplyDeleteDysfunctional Mom was right; that's me in the middle, hands clasped around my knees, blond hair. The girl in the green bibs is my cousin, Ruth, one of five of us who were all born the same year.
What a fun picture!!! Love it!! =D
ReplyDeleteOk I don't need to guess but the one next to you is holding her hands the same way. Was she a favor cousin?
ReplyDeleteBig family - great picture.
This looks a whole lot like my family, on both sides! I have 36 cousins on my fathers side, and most of us have 3-4 children now. I thought you were the girl in front and center in yellow. I'm not so good at these games. Ha! Thanks for visiting U8MyCrayons today!
ReplyDeleteLeticia
Who's that adorable little girl behind you? ; )
ReplyDeleteI would have gone for the girl looking away in the yellow dress too but several look very like you. What a lot of cousins and what a beautiful memento to have of your family.
ReplyDeleteThe girl to my left is my younger sister, Judy. Behind me is our baby sister (yes, the adorable little girl), Michelle. Sister, Mary, is the hot brunette in the upper-right-hand corner. Geri wasn't there. Four brothers are scattered about the photo.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm too late for a guess... read the spoiler! So many cousins! I have TWO that is it TWO cousins. My entire extended family could fit in a mini van!!
ReplyDeleteMust have been a ton of fun growing up!
Really great pic!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my husband's family, he is 1 of 9 siblings...his parents are grandparents to like 30+ kids and great-grandparents to 8+ kids! and they are still alive!
Sure am glad I came in after the puzzle was solved. I would have been clueless. What a huge family and what treasure for the family history book!
ReplyDeleteI would have guessed the green jumper, too. You are all definitely from the same family! Great picture!
ReplyDeleteI would not have that many people in a picture if I got all my cousins from both sides and threw in Keith's cousin's too. We are numbers-poor here in the family department.
ReplyDeleteLove all that 1976 hair on the guys - not entirely different from what I see now :)
What a little cutie you were and what fun to be with so many of your cousins.
