Sundays in My City

Sundays in My city is weekly blog theme hosted by Unknown Mami, who always has incredible photos from her city, San Francisco. My photos sometimes lack the cultural flare that San Francisco offers, but today, I think I might have some cultural entertainment to rival San Francisco!

Okay, you know those moms who take kids to the pool but never step in the water? Those moms who take all the photos but don't really participate in all the "fun" stuff their kids and husband do together? I must confess, I am often that mom. When Mr.4444 and the kids celebrate New Year's Eve by running around the house (outside) in their bare feet, I am cozy and warm, taking the pictures. So, tonight, when Mr.4444 suggested we bring the tradition out to celebrate the Green Bay Packers victory over the Atlanta Falcons, I tried to decline, but with Kyle gone out for the night, I felt some pressure to pick up the slack  Especially since our neighbor, Pat, volunteered to do the videotaping, I really had no leg to stand on, so I consented. That's right--I took one for the team.

Because I know you want to see this kind of insanity in action, I'm going to share the video.

Dare I hope we beat the Bears next week?

Visit Unknown Mami to see other crazy people enjoying their new year :)

  3. You all are insane!

Congrats to your Packers. If they go all the way to the Super Bowl, I'm also hoping for a warm snap so you don't have to run around the house in the snow again.

  4. WOW! You are a very good sport for doing that! Definitely worth doing on video! I love it! Then you had to go pose for a picture too? BRRRRR! I don't think I would even go outside in shorts if it was below 60 degrees yet alone barefoot! Perhaps in my youth, but really don't so. My feet are so sensitive, I don't even go barefoot outside when it's 90 degrees!

I'm sharing this on Facebook and Twitter!

  5. Next time you can do this in Finnish way:
all naked on the snow and make angel pattern moving your hands and legs...if fun after sauna in the winter time! :) yes, we do that!
You can try first with you clothes on... :)

  15. Happy feet??
As you must know by now the Chicago Bears won (crushed Seattle) today. Now I would still like to exchange comments during the buildup, playing and finish of the Packers Bears conflict, so I'm not going to shout any bad stuff about Green Bay.
Also if you have come back in from the cold, stop by I have a question for you and all women on my latest post.
    thanks

  17. It was a sad day for the Big Tuna when the Giants didn't make the cut this year. I guess I won't tell you it was 75 degrees in Phoenix today.
