Climb Every Mountain? No Thanks.

       Kendall and I went to a movie on Sunday. When we arrived at the theater, I was shocked at how many cars filled the parking lot; there were cars parked all the way out at the far edges, as far as the eye could see. It was a Sunday afternoon and not a holiday weekend, so I was puzzled. However, a minute later, when we FINALLY found a parking spot, I figured the situation out.

This is the middle of the parking lot. (That's the theater in the background.)  Behind me is a discount store. (Yes, it really was as huge a mountain as it appears.)



Normally, where this snow is, there are two double rows of parking.

Kendall wanted to climb over the snow to get to the movie. I declined, though the bird's-eye view would have made for another great shot!

I'm sure it'll all melt this week. [crossing fingers]

    That is a huge mountain!!

    If it doesn't melt, you should go back and climb it ;-)

    Wow that is crazy! At least it's white and not extremely dirty snow I hate that when it lingers there until May!

    I'm singin'..."Climb Every Mountain" here!!!Dependin' what the movie was and how badly I wanted to see it...I'd climb baby!!! Maybe that's why I'm always gettin' banged up! Heeehehe!!!

    Holy Wah! I read that this was the biggest storm in a long, long time. We had the same weather prediction, and they warned us to brace for 18", but every storm this winter has been an "easy" one.
    My grandkids from GB were here this weekend and pooh-poohed our snow as wimpy. Compared to yours, I guess they were right.

    I'm so happy ours has FINALLY melted!!! Not seeing grass (all be it brown!) for 90 days is a bit unsettling. We're getting a new dusting on Friday....but heck, I'll take that versus the serious stuff. June's coming!!!

    Did you say what movie you saw? Was it worth a climb of Mini mt. Everest?
    I say you should have gone for the climb. And videoed the slip and slide down the opposite side!

    How long will it take that snow to melt?
