Remember when I gave away some of my favorite guacamole mix, from Lawry's? (The guacamole mix that makes me very popular at summer parties?)  Little did I know at the time that Lawry's was going to stop making it?! WHAT? This is crazy! I can't find it anywhere! I even wrote the company, and they broke the news. I can't believe they didn't at least let me stock up first! I could cry! They wouldn't even give me the danged recipe for the stuff. I don't know what to do.

My friend, Dawn, makes her own laundry detergent. She gave me some, and I can attest that it works! However, I'm too lazy to make my own laundry detergent. If you are more ambitious than I am (and want to save a lot of money on laundry soap), click on the recipe here.

I'll bet you didn't know that my mom's sister Pat is a world-renowned Norwegian rosemaler. (No, Lisleman, she does not mutilate roses. On the contrary; she is a folk artist!) I've been a prolific blogger this week. that always happens at the end of the school year; my schedule opens up for self-expression, and I create like crazy. Scroll down a bit to view a fun vlog with Kendall, as well as an insane dance video! (Yaya would be proud!)

    I have not been a prolific blogger or visitor this week or last. I hope next week opens up a bit so I can catch up. I'm missing my friends!

    I can't wait to hear about Kendall's trip. She's going to have so much fun.

    I don't think I've heard anyone say they were writing a blog. I bet I will now that you mention it!

    mutilate roses not - Ok but what about you mutilating "Lisleman"? Who is Liselman?
    I checked out the Esty page. Those Lake Superior Rocks are very nice. I don't need a paper weight but if I did those would work and look nice. Do people still use paper weights much?

    I want to make detergent, I'm always looking for little ways to be greener, but I'm married to Mr. Clean, and I don't think he could live without his Tide!

    Well I love to blog..but blogger hasn't been so kind. I couldn't get on for almost a week. I could access my account but not post or comment. grr..

    I had a similar issue with Weber Sweet & Savory Dry Rub for Salmon. We LOVE the stuff. Can't find it anywhere now. I could sit down and cry with you!

    I've had friends make their own detergent too. I'm not ambitious enough to try. Haha!

    I used Camtasia Studio for the word bubbles in my vlogs :) I think they have a free version, but I have the expensive one (which I bartered for! :)

    I love Lawry's! I make my own guac (not that it's anything great), but I will look at my three stores (I have to shop so much that I don't like the stores to know how forgetful I am)and see what I can find!

    Lucky Kendall! Can't wait to see pics!

    I do as much laundry as I do grocery shopping...it might be good to check out the recipe for detergent!

    #3, I've started making my own laundry detergent, and I love it! It makes a TON, is CHEAP, and works great!!!

    The best (non-mix) guacamole ever (chunky, not pureed):
    --2 avocados, diced
    --approx. the same amount of fresh tomatoes, diced (2 small or 1 large)
    --juice of 1 lime
    --6 oz. feta cheese
    --lemon-pepper to taste

    delicious & has, so far, always been a hit!
    I,too, will keep an eye out for the Lawry's packets, but if you try the recipe above, you may never go back!

    Sorry about the guac, that stinks!! I like Wholly G., but I am new to guac, so I'm not sure how it compares.

    SOOO jealous of Kendall. I suppose everyone else has wondered/asked if she could fit them in her luggage, too? I didn't read the rest of the comments...

    I would post a FF blog (hehe, jk) but I'm afraid mine's been a relatively boring and, at times, negative week, and no one wants to read that.

    I clicked over to that laundry detergent recipe. Where in the world would one store 12 gallons of laundry detergent? Even if I could do that, I wonder how it works for people with sensitive skin?

    Kendall is going to Hawaii? Can she pack me in her suitcase?

    You sent me a packet of the guacamole mix and hubby and I loved it and have since gotten more. We don't get it here in our little town but this Sat we are going to the next town for appointments and I will check there for you. I owe you!
    McCormick makes a guacamole mix, have you tried it? I haven't yet.
