Friday Fragments: Episode #219

Mommy's Idea

Hello! Feeling fragmented? Mind cluttered with nonsense? Bits and piece of your week flying around inside your head? You've come to the perfect place to clean up, de-clutter, and feel refreshed. Welcome to Friday Fragments. [Click on the FF tab above to learn more.]

*It's the love of my life's 50th birthday today, and no; I don't mean Facebook, blogging, the kids, my job, etc. It's Mr.4444's birthday, which means my own 50 is right around the corner. YIKES and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HONEY!!

*It's physically impossible for me to get my to-do list done on a daily basis, and that's just my work list. I can do nothing about that, however, so I'm not going to worry about it.

*This school year is flying by like lightning, and for that (as a teacher) I am grateful.

*This school year is flying by like lightning, and I'm a little bummed about that, because that means that Kendall will have graduated and flown the coop before I know it.

*Parent-Teacher conferences are tonight (Thursday). Conference nights go by like lightning, which is nice.

*Kendall and I made a video that two days later still makes us laugh out loud. If you haven't seen it, check out  Super Spider Drama.

*Here's my weekly dog size comparison shot.

It was tough to beat that one, so that's what I decided to go with this week. From here on out, I'm going to go with a monthly shot, anyway.

*The Difference Makers decided to make cakepops/cake bites for their first act of kindness this year. I rolled them, and they decorated about 125 of them. On Wednesday, they hand-delivered one to every staff person in the building, thanking them for making a difference. They were very, very much appreciated, and the kids had a ball delivering them.

Okay, now it's your turn! Have a great weekend :)

  1. those dogs look like ghosts.
Our attention to time is the opposite of the way we want it. Work time - too slow, Family fun time - too fast. Even Einstein didn't have an answer for that.
    Happy Birthday Mr. 4444

I find I really need my school year to fly by. I wish it would!

    1. OMG, those sound amazing. Did you know that it only costs about $3 to mail a couple of cake pops? Where in the world did you find butter rum candy coating?? I think I need your phone number...

  5. My son is a senior and I agree with you that the time is flying by quickly.
I've never made cake balls. Are they like doughnut holes?
    Have a good weekend.

  6. I admire and envy your energy. I am approaching 50, too. I don't have your energy. I love the devil dogs photograph. I may suggest that they need to visit a priest, minister, rabbi, etc BEFORE October 31. Be careful, especially around midnight.

  12. Not sure how or why the linky thing skipped letting me get a picture---I clicked the right button. Guess the computer has a mind of it's own right now. Not surprised. Ha! Happy birthday to your hubby! I notice the school year is going by quickly too. Not sure how I feel about that since the end of the school year means summer...and heat...and humidity. :)
