Celebrating Fairview

Each week, cultures from near and far are showcased in Unknown Mami's Sundays in My City.

In a nearby Wisconsin town yesterday, there was a grade school fundraiser hosted by some very dedicated, hard-working parents. There was tons of fun for all ages, with face painting...

A sand volleyball court was once again a big hit;
this little boy sat in that same spot for at least an hour.

Of course, kids will always make their own fun; these boys are simply playing catch with a football.

These two didn't need any coaxing to do the "Chicken Dance."

BayTek games came through, as usual, with some fun, free games for families to play.
(There were so many generous sponsors!)

These two gave their all, selling lots and lots of tickets for the meat raffle.

There was also a 50/50 raffle. "And the winning number is...."

Is it just me, or does this winner appear to be a high schooler?
(Turns out she's a fourth grade teacher who was thrilled to win this round's $181.)

Milo was thrilled that he got to come along.

As you can imagine, he was a big hit, and this little girl couldn't get enough of him.
Clearly, the feeling was mutual.
