Friday Fragments: Episode #263

This is a milestone Friday Fragments; it's my last as a mother with a bird still in the nest.
As you can imagine, I've got plenty of bits and pieces flying around in my head about that, as well as plenty of other tidbits.
Thanks for being here to help me unload them and share some of yours.

Still riding the high of our family camping adventure last weekend; it was so great to be together as a family and to have Kyle's wonderful love, Alayna, with us as well. We had a ball.

***
I made another wonderful salad from my cousin Ed when we went camping.
Mango Slaw is really good! I also shared my Pesto recipe on Mrs.4444 Cooks this week. Both recipes traveled well and complemented our meals well. If you don't believe me, get a whiff of this:

My mom is doing so great. I posted a quick video of her tackling stairs with her new hip yesterday and am still blown away by the improvement in her hip mobilty. I can't help but feel a little regret for not encouraging her to do it years ago, but I thought her pain was just a part of life; I hadn't realized that her hip had been injured in a major car accident forty years ago. There's no going back, certainly, so at least she's feeling much better now.

***
I added Feedly to my Chrome extensions this week. A day or so later, I had problems posting on Half-Past Kissin' Time. I dug a little deeper and saw that some extensions cause problems. I removed Feedly and had no problems after that.

***
We leave on Sunday to take Kendall to school. Sniff.

***
My school district has spring break only every other year. This is the year we have it, and I am fantasizing about going someplace warm and beautiful. If you know anything about such trips on a budget, please email me. Also, if you could only take one such trip in your life, where would you go?

***
Yes, I was talking smart, a while back, about going to Italy. Those plans changed.
I still want to go to Europe, but not in the winter.

That's it for me; how about you? Leave your Friday Fragments link below and have a great weekend!
