Hope for Paws

I like to donate to causes, all year long; I think it's important to give to others when you can. I've found that even when I thought we didn't have anything to give, I found something. In fact, I think that the more we give, the more we find we can give more; that's truly been my experience. This year, I've written many checks, including checks to Laurie Matherne's very worthwhile Honduras outreach. Tonight, I want to put in a good word for a another fantastic organization that deserves recognition (and your support, should you be so moved). This video is just one reason Hope for Paws has my support:

[Warning: There are some heartbreaking scenes in this video, but it has a very happy ending; I promise!]

If you'd told me a few years ago that I'd be writing a post like this (for a dog rescue opertion), I'd have laughed in your face; I'm not a sap and I easily turn off those pathetic dog-rescue infomercials you see on late night TV.  Suddenly, though, because of Steve and Milo, I suppose, I am interested; I recently spent more than an hour watching Hope for Paws rescue videos.

They say you can't teach an old dog a new trick, but I beg to differ.
