Friday Fragments: Episode #298

Half-Past Kissin' Time

In celebration of my 51st birthday on Saturday, I'm going to share 51 bits and pieces of my week.
Just kidding; I would never do that to you! (You're welcome.)
Seriously, though, a Friday Fragments post is a great way to unload the randomness from your week
and free your mind of clutter to enjoy the weekend. Thanks for joining us.

Have you entered my giveaway yet? You don't need a blog for some of the entries, and the prizes are fabulous, so what are you waiting for?! (Click on the button above to learn more.)

***
How cool is this?! Google emailed me this week to let me know that they had $103 dollars to give me for revenue on ads I have somewhere (no clue where, except maybe YouTube).

***
Although we couldn't wait for spring to get here, it seems to have snuck up on me, and the end of the school year is near; I've been very busy this week, day and night.

***
As I may have mentioned last week, I started reading Eat to Live last week and completely changed the way I eat, as a result. My goal is to get my bad cholesterol down and eat only food that is real food, which actually feels great and is very satisfying, so far. If Mr.4444 would go along, I'm pretty sure I could be convinced to go Vegan. That's pretty brave talk, considering I've only been eating salads for a week; I'm guessing it might become boring after a while.

***
Milo caught Steve's Bordetella and had a little cough for a few days this week but bounced back quickly, and both dogs are back to their normal, sweet selves.

The Ragdoll cat breeder from whom we're getting a kitten from this summer shared new photos today.
There's a good chance that one of these little cuties will be ours:

***
My college senior son is living it up this week on his spring break as a student studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina; he flew to Brazil. Oh, to be young again...

***
I'm totally pooped tonight--The Difference Makers had a meeting after school. Then I met with my tech-brainiac nephew, Logan, via Google Hangout so that he could help me set up a new app I got for my phone. It allows you to set up a huge number of if/then scenarios on your phone. Although I feel technologically competent most of the time, when we "hung up," I felt like I'd been body slammed a few times on the mat of a technological wrestling match. For the record, my "opponent" was my android phone, not Logan.lol

***
Hopefully, the new app will save my marriage; Mr.4444 becomes very likely to choke me to death frustrated when I don't pick up the phone when he calls. What can I tell you--my life doesn't revolve around my phone, so I don't always remember to turn the ringer back on. It's nothing personal, I swear!
