Off to a Great Summer Start!

It's finally starting to feel like summer vacation; I'm in my robe til at least nine, most mornings, and I needed this break.  I'm not running around like a maniac with to-do lists, but I'm getting a lot accomplished, and I've only been off for a week!  I thought I'd share some photos that depict what I've been up to.

I always need a creative project or two to satisfy that need during summer break. This summer, I'm planning to do something fun with this telephone table from Mr.4444's grandma's house. Pinterest has so far only given me minimal inspiration. My own idea is to use a number of dictionary pages, some black paint, and ? to turn this into a conversation piece.

Another idea I have is to decoupage photos on it, much like The Best Seat in the House, which my art teacher cousin made for me a while back. I'm just terrified of wrecking the photos. Stay tuned for a reveal once I make up my mind.

We'll be doing some dogsitting bartering this summer. We watched this guy and his two brothers last weekend. Isn't he beautiful?

He's also very sensitive; one cross word (like, "Bo, stop!" when he's insisting on you petting him while you're trying to tie your shoes) and he will back up and bark in your face (loudly) for the next minute, as if to say, "Hey! Don't talk to me like that! You've hurt my feelings!"

I've been doing some cleaning, which is very satisfying. So far, I've cleaned one giant cupboard and four drawers. Anyone need a Sharpie?

On Saturday, I participated in an outdoor bootcamp that is usually done at the yoga studio I go to.
I shocked myself, when it began rain and I didn't run to my car. Really; if you'd have told me that I would one day be running (in soaked shoes) in a downpour and voluntarily lying down in wet grass to do exercises, I would have laughed in your face. I'm still shocked at my adventurousness. I wonder what's next! Here's a photo I took of our group after the sun sort of came out.

(I'm not in the photo, because I'm taking the photo. Next time...)

Milo is in dog heaven with me home! We've been doing lots of cuddling,

as well as a little biking.

Steve is as lovable as ever, especially since Kendall is home sometimes, too. He still loves to sit in her lap.

We are still expecting to bring a kitten home in a few weeks, so we'll see how that goes over...haha.

I've been practice-packing for our trip, just to make sure I have everything,

but, of course, I've had to do a little shopping for our trip, too. Here's my swimsuit (with solid pink bottoms). Mine will look a little different.LOL!

I wouldn't be caught dead in a bikini here, but I figure I won't see anyone I know, so what the heck! Mr.4444 hasn't seen me in a bikini in about 20 years; he's pretty excited.haha

Finally, I've been gardening.

Off to pick some lettuce for a yummy salad!

What have you been up to?
