Friday Fragments: Episode #338

Half-Past Kissin' Time

They say that America is a melting pot (or a tossed salad, depending upon who you ask).
Friday Fragments is a melting pot of random thoughts; grab a spoon and dig in!

***The Powerball jackpot is up to $289 million dollars. Do you play? I only buy a few times per year, when the jackpot is especially high.

***Since it's that time of year, I wrote some scholarship application tips last week; please share with anyone you think would benefit.

***I finished listening to All the Light We Cannot See today. It's an historical fiction story that takes place during World War II, and the characters are French, which was really interesting. I rated the book 5 out of 5 stars.

***Poor Kendall got food poisoning this week, most likely from bad sushi. She's on the mend now, thank goodness.

***We had two nights of student-led conferences this week. Last night (the night in the middle), I went to power yoga and yin yoga classes. I am pooped!

***I've gone to yoga three times this week! That's six and a half months out from rotator cuff surgery; I am amazed. No, I'm not doing everything my fellow yogis are doing in class, and my endurance isn't up to par yet, but I am keeping up and feeling amazing afterwards.

***Last Friday, my boss sent us into the weekend with this message: You do so much for other people; leave now (early) and go do something for yourself. I really took it to heart, realize that working out is something I do for myself; I finally committed to getting fit again. How about you? Don't you do a lot for other people? What will you do for yourself today?

Enough from me; what about you? What's new? Link up your Friday Fragments post below, make some new friends, and have a great weekend!
