Friday Fragments: Episode #342

Half-Past Kissin' Time
Happy Friday!!
It's time to sift through your week and share the bits and pieces left in the colander.
Thanks for being here. Click on the FF tab above to learn more.

***I think I forgot to write a Friday Fragments intro last week. Did any of you notice or care?

***A sweet mom-to-be won my Baby Butz Cream review this week. She was thrilled, of course!
I also posted a funny, spot-on video by Mark Gungor about the difference between the way men and women think. Check that out if you need a good laugh and feel like being validated.

***It occurs to me every now and then that if I died and someone had to come in here and clean up after me, there would be some serious eyebrow raising when it comes to my closet, especially. So, for the past two evenings, I have been cleaning like Oprah's coming over; it looks pretty darned amazing in the general living areas and, yes; my closet.

***Because I don't have a lot of ideas for interior decorating, there is absolutely nothing on my kitchen table (except, at the moment, a benefit donation mirror), so I took a photo today to take to a home decorating place for advice. I took the photo from a distance so that the designers could get a feel for our style. You'd never know we've lived here for 15 years, would you? It's time we did a little decorating!

What's that up on the loft, you say? Let's just say we need to call Two Men and a Truck.

***Grandma 4444 isn't much of a reader, but I figured she'd enjoy reading Kyle's journal/book, so I gave her a copy. Soon after, at 7pm, she sent this email message:  Your journal is intoxicating; can't remember reading anything for two hours straight and getting so absorbed in it. Can hardly wait to continue. What a gift of love.  I am thrilled that she loves it so much, as does Kyle, of course.

***On a recent visit to my mom's house, I found that my feet were cold, so I asked if hers, too, were chilly. She said that her feet are always cold, so I decided to splurge and buy a very special gift for her, a pair of handmade shearling slippers from Shepherd's Flock. If she loves hers half as much as I love mine, she's going to be one happy woman!

***I received my slippers for Christmas, so I haven't had them very long, but I'm thrilled with them. I especially love that they were made in America by regular folks like you and me.

***Speaking of Shepherd's Flock, I bought a hat for Mr.4444 from them, too. He says it's the warmest hat he's ever worn in his life. It's so warm, in fact, that he is toasty when blowing snow in any temperature (and if you know anything about our Wisconsin winter this year, you know it's been COLD); it's even so warm that he sometimes can't wear it. Obviously, Mr.4444 will never be cold at a Packers football game, either. Stay tuned for a photo. (He's not home.)

***I'm thrilled to tell you that although I have five million things to do before the benefit next weekend, I am going to Minnesota Friday to visit Kendall, just because. I can hardly wait!
