My Heart Goes Out (Hope Yours Does, Too)

In recent days, I've been very touched by some things I've read at other blogs, and I want to draw your attention to them....

***Single mom, Dee, who has a son who's disabled and has spent a lot of time in the hospital this week, could really use some kind words of support. She has no one; no family or friends who can lighten her burden of caring for her son while still caring for herself. Please take the time to pop over to A Mom's Journey and help lift her up, will you?

***I've only been blogging for two years now, but I have never even heard of such an incredible fundraiser/raffle/giveaway as the one Hallie has hosted this month over at Wonderful World of Wieners. She has raised $5656 for organ donation, and the prizes are absolutely incredible. I was lucky enough to win the first prize (s), and there are many, many more to be awarded in the next 30 days, but would you believe that Hallie forgot to consider shipping costs in this big shindig? And she's not going to touch a cent of the fundraiser money for shipping. Just thought I'd mention that, in case you feel charitable and would like to help. She wouldn't ask for a dime, but if you want to see her remain married, you might want to help cushion the blow.

***Kori's letter request. Do you remember what it was like to be 17? Do you happen to know what it's like to be 17 and suffering emotionally? Kori's daughter Hannah is such a young woman, and she could use some help. Kori has tried everything she can possibly do to help her heal from a very rough year, and she's come up with a great idea that just might make a difference. Please read Kori's post if you might be interested in writing a letter to Hannah. (Heather, of Singing With My Heart wrote a beautiful one here.)

So, yeah. I guess I'm being a big of a teacher with this post--Write a comment, write a check, and/or write a letter? Guess that means school is just around the corner...
