Sketchy Santas

This is probably not what you'd expect to see on my blog on Christmas Eve (a disturbing video), but it landed in my lap today, and I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Even if you only watch the first minute, I'm sure you'll have something to say about it.

I found the video on Sketchy Santas. (And in case you're not all up on 2009 slang terms, here's the definition of "sketchy.")

Here's hoping your Christmas is far from sketchy!

P.S. Don't forget--Friday Fragments will be moved to Saturday this week :)

  1. Even the DOGS looked scared! Isn't it funny how some parents force their hesitant and scared kids to sit on Santas lap? So much for "stranger danger" and using your gut instincts, kid.

  2. Now how do I get that out of my head? If you get a chance to to Silent Monks Singing Halleluia (spelled just like that) on YouTube. As an educator I hope you get the same hoot I did.

    Merry Christmas ya'll!!!

  3. Santa may be like clowns for some people. They are okay from a distance, but don't make me get next to either one.

  5. Yikes! Some of those Santas really freaked me out. Clown Santas!? What in the heck is that all about? No wonder the poor children were scared, I would be too.

  9. LOL..I love that. I have one where my daughter looks like she is about to puke, and my son, looks like he's 5000 miles away.

  10. most those kids act like my cat does when I try picking him up--screaming and twisting to get free!

    I wondered about Friday Fragments--thanks.

  11. WOW! I didn't know there was another family with a cat that hated to be picked up! Thanks Karen and Gerarad for letting me know I wasn't alone!

Those Santa pictures were terribly funny and so sad all at the same time. I loved it.

  12. my kids were scared of santa and the easter bunny and never wanted to sit on their lap therefore, we don't have one photo in our home like that. When Raye was 3 or 4, on Christmas Eve, she didn't want to go to sleep and when I asked why, she said - I don't want him (santa) coming in our house LOL.

  13. It's a wonder more kids aren't scarred for life after a visit with Santa! LOL, there were some truly scary Santas in that crowd.

  17. Huh. I always think being a Santa must be the hardest job ever. Very cool but ohhh the kids who don't want to be there -- or shouldn't be there.

We've always been lucky that the wee ones LOVE santa and have since infancy, but ... I know we're in the minority.

    Merry Christmas!
