Friday night...kids away...Mr. and Mrs.4444 had the house to ourselves...
Hours later, Kendall texts:
"On our way home...put clothes on."
My reply: "LOL! If you only knew!"
She replied, "omg mom. Gag. You're too old."
Hey, she asked for it! Besides, you're never too old to gross your kids out, right?
Never! And I plan on utilizing the mommy embarassment and gross out skill to the fullest extent!
ReplyDeleteThe best part about this story is that you actually texted her back with a confession.
ReplyDeleteI love it that is awesome. I love throwing curve balls back at the witty teens.
ReplyDeleteSCORE with the title of this post! Grossing out my kids or embarrassing them is truly one of the highlights of my life!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteGrossing out and/or embarassing our kids is not only a parent's duty, it's a parent's RIGHT!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! I love how she was doing her part to prevent her worst nightmare from happening. :)
ReplyDeleteGood Job!!! Too funny.
ReplyDeleteYou're never too old. It's great to have some time just the two of you, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYou should have replied "Give us one more hour..."
ReplyDeleteLOL That is great!
Absolutely funny! It's great to have time to yourself and absolutely funny to embarrass/gross out the kids!
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. One of the TRUE pleasures in life ... seeing the look on their faces? Priceless.
ReplyDeleteI live to gross out my kids. So much more fun now that they are older.
ReplyDeleteSo funny! And, isn't it easier to gross your kids out when they're older and they "get it"? :D
ReplyDeletelol too funny!
ReplyDeleteLOL she asked for it! I'd have sent a picture (within reason of course)
ReplyDeleteROFL! That is too funny!
ReplyDeleteShe started it! =)
That's awesome. I seriously look forward to the day I can torment my children thusly. Right now they're too young to care.
ReplyDeleteThis is the funniest thing I have read all day!
ReplyDeleteLove It! Kahuna and I stopped to get a tea to go at the local Stop and Shop. The girl asked if we wanted two cups. I answered no that we would share. Then I added that it was okay since we swap spit and stuff. She, being all of 16 or 17, was absolutely mortified that "old people" would do that. :)

ReplyDeleteHeh. I'll have to pull that next time we're visiting my parents. LOL!
ReplyDeleteAfter ten years of trying to conceive we finally were blessed with our one and only joint venture when my step-kids were in their mid-teens. They were horrified! Not by the imminent arrival of baby but by the visual proof that their parents were ... ahem ... doing it! Ha ha! I thought it was pretty funny!
ReplyDeleteOMG!! I don't wanna hear about my sister "doing it" either! LOL I think it's hilarious that Kendall gave you a heads up! :o)
ReplyDeleteHeeeheeeehe! There's not a child on earth no matter what age wants to thinks of their parents THAT way. They all all content thinkin' that a big bird dropped them in the laps of their parents.
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a terrific Tuesday!!!
Oscar-That idea is GREAT! Way too funny. I hope I get the opportunity to do that.
ReplyDeleteAngie-I LOVED your idea, too. Kendall, though, said, "Ewwwwwwww," when I shared it with her, hahaha
Keep the great ideas coming...haha
Haha, so rotten!
ReplyDeleteCrazy timing, Mrs. 4444. I got your comment via email as I was in the middle of writing my new post! Thanks for the congratulatory message and for stopping by. :)
