Sundays in My City/Weekly Winners

For the record, I realize these photos are technically not the best, but I love them all the same. I snapped them hurriedly, on my way to school on Friday. (Yup--we have daylight at 6:30am now!!!)  The snow was sparkling so beautifully, it was impossible to just keep driving past.

Here begins my "The Morning After" series....

What do you get when you mix pizza, chips, roasted Starbursts, and rootbeer with a sleepover?
Add the words "three a.m." and you have this...

and this:

And finally, Kendall and I updated our annual spring goofing around outside pic:

[I can't tell you the restraint it took to not go to Picnik and erase my wrinkles.
I am trying to embrace the aging thing, but damn, it's hard!! Just look at Kendall, okay? :)]

Visit Unknown Mami and Sarcastic Mom for really great pics from around the world...
you'll be glad you did!

  17. FYI, roasting Starbursts is a little sleepover tradition that Kendall started. They gather round a table, each with a tealight candle and a Starburst on a toothpick. Then, they hover the Startburst over the flame until it is just the right meltiness. Apparently, it is a delicacy!haha

  18. Ha! I was just gonna ask how one would roast Starbursts! Too funny!!

  20. I do miss the diamond snow, as I called it. Thanks for the reminder :)

Restrain from erasing your wrinkles - it's you. You've lived a lot to get those :) Now if I could erase the fat from my body as easily as going to a picnik that would be great! lol

  21. I agree, the snow is beautiful...especially when the sun hits just right...but I am so excited to see some dark green grass and little bare feet running through it!!

You're beautiful and your daughter is lucky to look so much like you.

  22. PS: No, I don't wear the wooden shoes, they're from way back when we still had a garden, my husband used to wear them. Now they're for decoration only.

  36. That picture of you and Kendall is gorgeous! My opinion is that wrinkles are allowed, especially if they are from laughing and smiling! Or squinting into the sun on a great adventure! Or even from frowning through a tough situation...they are just life tracks. :)
