Thousand Words Thursday
Is this not one of the best pics you've ever seen? Even if you don't know my uncles, Bill and John (now, or during the 1970's), you have to love this shot.
Priceless, no?
[Update: Mr.4444 is so stinkin' smart. He just saw this post and informed me that these fish, while impressive in size, would be completely useless, since they are dead or dying. He says they were salmon, likely caught near Uncle John's farm, which is near the river, which is where salmon swim to die after spawning. I learn something new every day!]

Holy Moly! The fish are huge, and so are their smiles.
ReplyDeleteWell no one can accuse them of exaggerating the size of their fish with this picture as proof!
ReplyDeleteI love the look on the dog's face, too. Hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
Oh this is awesome...I would LOVE to land a fish that size!
ReplyDeleteYes, priceless girl. Can't ya just hear the fish stories goin' on there? That dog looks identical to my Tiger the Wonder Dog who is beckoning me to fill his bowl right now.
ReplyDeleteYa'll have a wonderfully blessed day! :o)
Them some mighty big fish there!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic!
Great smiles, great fish...looks like Cooper though?
ReplyDeleteYes this photo is Priceless! I LOVE looking at old photos...Thanks for sharing it with us
ReplyDeleteWowzers- how is he holding that big ole fish up with one arm? He must be a very strong man. Geez, those fish are huge!
ReplyDeleteI think even the dog is smiling! Great old snap, and your uncles looks like they were having an awesome day.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are a huge catch. Looks like they have been to nearby Lake Michigan. Love the 70s-ish look with the car.
ReplyDeleteFishing is truly fun. What a great catch. The huge smiles are well deserved. The dog doesn't look very impressed though.
ReplyDeleteThat is seriously one of the best pictures I have ever seen. You can't help but smile when you see that!
ReplyDeleteIs the dog a relative of Cooper's? I think I'm remembering the dog's name right.
ReplyDeleteThat is a monster fish. Is it a muskie?
WOW, that's amazing. The largest fish I've ever caught probably isn't even the size of their tails.
ReplyDeleteTheir big silly grins say it all - great photo!
ReplyDeleteThey're smiles are almost as big as their fish!
ReplyDeleteAhhh...that is SO awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove your new header, too!!
Everything about this picture takes me back to my childhood. The house, the car, the fish (my dad was a fisherman...never anything that big I might add!), the clothes.
ReplyDeleteGreat.
forget the picture! I'm thinking of the fish fry!!!
