Friday Fragments: Episode #204

Mommy's Idea

I'm finally settling down into my summer, and it's 1/3 over already. I've had no shortage of things to keep me busy, and I'm still as fragmented as ever, so "Friday Fragments" is welcome, as usual. (To learn about Friday Fragments, kindly click on the tab above.)

***Mom turned 83 yesterday! Doesn't she look great?

I have to be honest with you; she doesn't look as young as my camera magically made her appear in the photo, but she does look pretty darned young for her age, and I love how her playful spirit shines through the photo. As my sister Michelle says, our mom is a cutie patootie :)

***Speaking of cutie patooties and Michelle, her family lost their sweet Dozer last week. As everyone knows, losing a pet is a really tough thing, but losing one only seven years old (and mostly-unexpectedly), one who was incredibly affectionate and joyful, is especially tough. Some of the best lessons in life are learned from pets, and sadly, some of the most difficult are, too; Dozer will be missed.

***Speaking of pets, I wrote a very heartfelt post this week: In Which I Find My "Dog Person" Heart. If you missed it, I'd love for you to read it, as it finally explains (to me and others) why I suddenly appear to love dogs.haha

***Speaking of missing posts, if you missed my sneak peek of Kendall's senior portraits (and that stuff interests you) you'll find it here.

***Missing a recipe for a delicious Greek Pasta Salad (one I can't make often enough for Kyle)?  I posted that on Mrs.4444 Cooks this week, too.

***Speaking of missing stuff, I am missing sleep. Our newest addition, Milo, is still adjusting to sleeping overnight in a crate, but I am not giving in (I share my bed only with my husband!). As exhausted as I am come morning, I can't be irritated with him. Seriously--Who could be irritated by this?

Okay, now I'm even more tired...off to join the dog in a nap!

Here's the linky for your fragmenting pleasure [FRIDAY FRAGMENT POSTS ONLY, PLEASE]:
