Funny Monday: Job Woes

Via my Facebook wall:
As you head to work today, be glad for your job, no matter what it is. If you don't really like your it, try finding some good in it or make a goal to make a difference in someone's day today. If you hate your job, apply for a new one, and keep doing so, as life is way too short--No one ever looks back and says, "I'm sure glad I stayed in that dead-end, soul-sucking position as long as I did!"

When you look back ten years from now, what do you want to be able to say about the job you have today?

If you don't have a job and want one, don't give up--I'm rooting for you! Good luck in your search today :)

Have a Happy Monday!

  1. You are too funny! I'm going to start my job hunt up again after Katelyn leaves for college...and I'm holding out for the perfect job....I'm too old to work nights and weekends...been there done that! Happy Monday!

  2. funny reply but people should not make statements about bosses or companies on FB. You are so right that if the boss sees it she might be home on a more permanent basis.

  3. Frau, I had the insane idea of getting a part-time job during Christmas last year. I applied at the Gap, and they asked if I would work weekends. I said yes....and they said, "As in Friday, Saturday, and Sunday." um...no thanks. Silly me...

  4. Perfect response! If I ever do complain on FB about work (never the job itself but just being tired or whatever) I always preface with "I am SO grateful to have a wonderful job BUT...." lol (and I'd never complain about my boss! Not a smart move!)

  5. Rule number 1 is no complaining about your job on facebook. There are too many examples of people making some statement that eventually is read by employers. Remember the news from ths winter where employers were asking applicants for their fb passwords or being 'liked' in order to see what kind of person is applying?

  6. I always tell my daughter that future employers and her grandparents watch her wall... it's not a private diary...

  7. Any chance you might be going back to Disqus again? Sure made the reply-to-comment easier.
