Funny Monday: OMG Revisited

Reader Frank brought this old post to my attention recently, and because it made him and his lovely wife LOL, I thought I'd make a fool of myself again by posting it. It was originally posted in March 2009, when I taught a pull-out class of juvenile delinquents, ages 11-14.

OMG

There's no easy way to say this.

farted (out loud, accidentally) in class on Tuesday.

And the worst part? I was standing right next to a kid that I am constantly reprimanding for farting in class.

There was a split second of hope that no one heard it, but that didn't last long. The look on "that" student's face was PRICELESS. I think I made his day, or year. (It was almost worth the embarrassment.)

An hour later, I hear Shawn say to another student, "Dude--Mrs.4444 let one rip in math class today."

Man, I hope their memories for this event are as short as they are for basic math facts.

P.S. In reading this, I find it funny that I felt the need to add the word "accidentally" up there, as if that wouldn't be assumed by adults reading my blog. I was going to edit it out, but then I realized that it illustrates the company I keep at school, for whom breaking wind in class is rarely an "accident."

Have a Happy Monday!

  5. Funny - glad you reposted it, I don't remember the post. We are all human and extra gas can occur. Good to know you are very relaxed in the classroom.
Nice new banner pic - I should change mine but I need to figure out what would look good.
