Ever feel like your head is full of clutter? Bits and pieces fuzzing up your brain? A Friday Fragments post is the perfect way to clean up, de-fuzz, and free your mind for the weekend.
Welcome.
***I'm very excited about a book review I'll be doing on How to Be Angry: As Assertive Anger Expression Group Guide for Kids and Teens, by Signe Whitson. I cannot think of a better book for me to check out these days. Now to find the time to read it!
***Poor Steve and Milo; both got "snipped" today, and I don't mean haircuts. I swear Milo had a tear in his eye when I left him this morning.I know it was the right thing to do, but I'm afraid these two will forever hate going to the vet, since they're always undergoing stress when they're there. I know....they'll be better off for it.
***We got two bids this week for electric fencing to keep the dogs in the yard. I really wish we could afford the more-expensive brand (The new technology is wonderful!), but the price difference between that and a traditional-type fencing is $800. Easy decision.
***I am one week away from turning 50, but it feels like 80 is just around the corner; I am so tired lately.
***Speaking of my 50th, my birthday cake is almost complete!! Just sixteen spots left to fill! I am absolutely thrilled by the "gifts" I've received so far--I get a rush from every single offering.
***Mr.4444 and I were listening to Kendall sing and play her ukulele last night; she was teaching herself some sweet oldies-but-goodies to sing at a local nursing home as her birthday present to me. Can you imagine how much that fills my heart?! Well, it was overflowing last night; her dad and I both teared up just hearing her sweet voice singing You Are My Sunshine and others.
***I need to forgive someone. The trouble is I'm not sure she's sorry, so it makes me afraid that I'll get burned again. This means that I'm going to have to open the situation up again and (of course) my heart. It's the right thing to do; it's just not easy.
***Kendall went to court for her car accident in March. Her ticket was cancelled, so she didn't have to pay the $212 fine at all. It pays to go to court when you get a ticket! She also received a check this week from the other driver's insurance company, so she's car shopping, lucky kid.
