Steve and Milo experienced camping for the first time in their year-long lives last month.
If you asked them how it went, you would get different replies.
Steve would use words like FUN!
EXCITING!
EXHILARATING!
FULFILLING!
and maybe CONFUSING
and DELICIOUS
if sometimes EMBARRASSING
He was in heaven the entire weekend
and was enthusiastically declared "the best camping dog ever."
Milo, on the other hand, would likely use words like FUN (He loves making new friends!)
but also SUSPICIOUS
DISAPPOINTING
"I don't see why she won't let me go make some new friends!"
ANNOYING
STRESSFUL
OVERWHELMING
(I wanted him to try to swim a little. He does know the dog paddle; he just didn't like using it. Remember how he did on the treadmill?)
WHEW!
and, most-certainly, EXHAUSTING
We've decided that Milo isn't really a camping dog; next time, he'll be staying with friends; and incidentally, there is a line of people who have offered to take him off our hands. The line forms here:
