Sundays in My City: Run or Dye (I Chose Dye)

Unknown Mami

A couple of months ago, my friend Dawn and I ambitiously decided
 to participate in the Run or Dye fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay.

Waiting in line to start (outside Lambeau Field) was exciting and fun (though a brisk 50 degrees F). Other than inside Lambeau, I'd never been in the company of so many happy people!
Even before the "race" started, people were throwing their dye,
(which, incidentally, is cornstarch-based and very light)
Here's the lovely canvas that stood in front of me.

The first dye station we approached...

Two little cuties supporting each other about half-way through...

I ran into some of our middle school students (at least I think I knew them)...

and after

These photos were all taken with my cellphone, and I was dying to have my Canon;
for obvious reasons, that wasn't a good idea.
Next weekend, though, is the Color Run**, at U.W. Green Bay.
Maybe I'll run that one so I have time to take pics at the end?!
Maybe.

*I know some of you will be bothered by the use of "me" vs. "I" in this sentence. It's correct; trust me. Don't believe me? Click here for the explanation.

**We have room on our team; let me know if you'd like to join us!
