Pounds and pounds of ice melt later,
the driveway was somewhat melted and ready for company.
We're dogsitting three dogs this weekend,
so it was the perfect weekend to work out some Cabin Fever.
It was a beautiful, sunny day.
Temperatures hovered around 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Most of the dogs didn't seem to mind.

Most of the dogs didn't seem to mind.
The highest number of dogs that we had at once was eleven,
but over the course of three hours, we hosted 15 dogs.
There was, obviously, a whole lotta butt-sniffin' goin' on,
and a little attitude, now and then, but they all worked it out.
They came in all sizes and personalities,
and we had a very young one (Australian Shepherd).
Size didn't matter, though;
here is our neighbor's Bernese Mountain Dog engaging a Yorkie mix who started it!
Bo was exuberant but gentle with little Bogey, and they had a ball together.
Taking a breather...
So many pretty dogs!
Everyone shared, too.
Although Milo had a lot of fun, he didn't tolerate the cold very well.
Fortunately, he was able to go inside to warm up now and then.
Even Bo (who lays outside in the snow for hours if allowed),
was ready to warm up after a while.
In fact, he chose a friend's car in which to do so;
he hopped right in when she put her own dog inside,
and he refused to leave.
Needless to say,
everyone got plenty of fresh air and exercise today.
I'm pretty sure we won't have to rock any of them to sleep tonight!
