My Sally Field Parenting Moment

With all due respect to the many, absolutely beautiful, thoughtful, handwritten birthday and Mothers Day letters I've received (and treasure) from Kendall, this Mothers Day present from my son Kyle (who is studying for a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is the BOMB! First, you should know that skydiving has been on Kyle's bucket list for many years. When he messaged me Saturday morning to tell me it was the day, he said, "If I die...[insert private message here]. I told him he couldn't die, because his dad and I would be left on the hook for his student loans! Fortunately, we won't have to worry about it; he posted this video on Facebook with the following message later that day:

...I jumped out of a perfectly good plane today.
