Sweet, funny, charming, loveable Cousin Ed (age 93), (whom we just visited on Saturday!) suddenly came down with pneumonia and had some heart issues that wound him in ICU.
He is in good hands, but prayers are appreciated.

Mr.4444 and I are taking our first-ever vacation without kids!
We're going to Cozumel, Mexico in July!

Wondering what Steve and Milo have been up to lately? Here's a 23-second answer:

We have picked at least six woodticks off of Milo in the past week. YUCK! Never heard of a woodtick? I suppose they'd be up there with cockroaches, in terms of most-hated bugs. Woodticks are disgusting; they attach themselves to animals and start sucking blood until you notice them and have to remove them [shudders]. I get nauseous every time.

Let's change the subject: My sister Michelle sent me back down Memory Lane this week when she reminded me that my friend, sister Judi, and I used to talk Ubbi Dubbi incessantly. If you ever watched ZOOM as a kid, you'll know what I'm talking about. I'm a little rusty on it, but I found that after watching the video below, I was able to get back in the Ubbi Dubbi groove, for the most part.

Kendall thinks that the Ubbi Dubbi language would be great for her job as a summer camp counselor this summer; I totally agree!

***

I miss Kyle, our son who's studying for a semester in Argentina.

***

Three of Kyle's four classes are in Spanish.
I can only imagine what it's like to have to translate and learn at the same time,
though I'm sure some of my students with special needs have some idea.

***

There are 14 days of school left.
I am very stressed out, as there is a ton of paperwork to be done in spec ed this time of year.
Kendall is relieving me of much stress by cleaning my entire house from top to bottom.
She says she doesn't need me to pay her; I am blessed.
Of course, I'm paying her.
