Tasty Tuesday!

My friend, Michelle, at Honest and Truly often post for "Tasty Tuesday," so I thought I'd follow suit, but first, I'm going to share a very funny, dining-related story that my blogless sister, Judy, shared on Facebook this week. She and her husband, Allan, are incredible cooks and love gourmet dining at home.

I was making dinner tonight and realized that I had forgotten to buy a lemon for drizzling over our filo salmon. Then I remembered that we have a lemon tree (with one, big, juicy lemon on it) that we'd been nurturing for a very long time (It even survived the 400+ mile move from Memphis to Tulsa!) Over dinner, Allan said, "This is delicious, but I feel like I'm eating one of our children!" LOL!!!

And speaking of delicious, check out my latest offering at Mrs.4444 Cooks, Confetti Scalloped Potatoes (The kids and Mr.4444 loved them, and they are SUPER easy to make--no peeling of potatoes at all!)  and see what's cooking at Michelle's place :)

  1. Why does this remind me of Trinny Lopez and "The Lemon Tree"?

I never liked scalloped potatoes. Then again, I never had any made like this.

  2. You have to use the lemon. Fish without it is not a fish dish. Must have been interesting to have just one lemon on the tree...

  7. LOL! That is too funny. I think I felt the same way when I grew snow peas one year. My seeds produced 5 pea pods. Eating them was like murder! :)

  9. Georgie, thanks for the heads up on the lemon shortage. I guess I will have to hope for lots of blossoms on the lemon tree. Funny MightyMom! If children grew on trees and you could eat them how many people would consider serving them up? LOL
