WooHoo!! I made it to all of last week's Friday Fragmenters! It was so nice to be able to catch up with everyone (and I only had to delete two links for not linking to a FF post). This week, I'm joining forces with Danifred, who hosts Friday Night Leftovers, another Friday meme that allows us to un-clutter our minds. Link up here, link up there :) Please remember to link back to us so that others know where to join in the fun! For more information on Friday Fragments or Friday Night Leftovers, click on the buttons above.
***In case you missed the update, Cooper is fine.
***On January 7th, I reported that a beloved snake (yea, seems like an oxymoron, doesn't it?!), Stella, had disappeared from her tank at the middle school. Last week, she was found alive on the floor of the classroom from which she disappeared, somewhat thin but okay. There is no way to know if she had been loose in the school or "borrowed" by a student. Regardless, she's back, and most people are happy about that, haha.
***Need a new recipe to try out this weekend? Try my kick-butt Glazed Meatloaf offering on Mrs.4444 Cooks. It's GREAT.
***My Favorite Friday Fragmenter this week is Angie, whose fragment entitled, "The Unit" stole the prize. Check it out here. Angie, enjoy your award :)
***I love guacamole, but I only love it when it's made with Lawry's Guacamole mix (Yeah, I know--I sound like a commercial; it is what it is, I guess.) Anyway, my favorite grocery store didn't stock it, so I had to keep going to another store just to buy it. Finally, my favorite store got it in stock, per my request. Ever since, whenever I shop there, I grab a packet, just to reinforce their being nice enough to get it for me. This week, Mr.4444 counted the guacamole mix packages in our pantry and announced that there were 22. Guess what we're having for hors d'oeuvres tonight, and tomorrow night, and the next night?
***I have a favor to ask: If you know my real name and are a Facebook friend, will you please Follow Half-Past-Kissin' Time on Networked Blogs? I'm at 19 followers but need 20 in order to get stats to show. Thanks.
Okay, it's your turn! Add your FRIDAY FRAGMENTS link to McKlinky below, and don't be afraid to visit some other fragmenters to say hello :) [And don't forget to link up at Danifred's place, too!
Snakes freak me out buggy boy thinks he needs one as a pet and I say OH NO...not in my house

I guess I'm glad Stella is ok. I'm just glad she's not slithering around anywhere near ME!
ReplyDeleteLove guacamole need to pick some up next time in USA and try it. Problem is I like to wash it down with margarita's ....why did I say that was a problem..! Have a wonderful weekend. Going to check out your meatloaf recipe my family announced they are not a fan of mine! Rude uh?
ReplyDeleteI love some good guac, too!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that Cooper and Stella are a-okay!!
Snakes and guacamole all in one post! Now there's some fragments for ya! :-)
ReplyDeleteLinked up this week!
I love me some meatloaf. Yum.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid my fragments this week are a bit long but still wanted to link up.
Happy Friday!
Hi there! I'm new to the Friday Fragments and thought I would say hello. I used to see this on Yaya's blog and finally got around to joining in on the fun.
ReplyDeleteGuacamole party!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear about Cooper!
Glad y'all found the snake too, I guess. I'd rather know where it is than have it wandering around, those things terrify me!
Just stick a couple of those Lawrys whatchamacallits in an envelope and send to me! I never ever thought of guacamole from a package mix! I always hunt down the just right soft avocados to make guacamole. You taught me something, and I came visiting from Joanna's blog The Fifty Factor!
ReplyDeleteThe Snake... ooohhh... creepy!! I LOVE the recipes!! And Guacamole is just GOOD!!!Hapy Friday!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to be able to get to all of the FF posters. Great Job :) I'll be joining in later today.
ReplyDeleteGlad the snake is back. I do the same thing at my local store if I ask for something and they stock it. Not sure I've ever had over 20 of them though lol What a hoot.
Angie's post is Funny!
I'm happy to hear Stella returned!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should do a Lawry's Giveaway on your food blog? :)
I listed myself twice. #30 went to my blog, but #31 goes to my FF entry.
Glad Cooper is back up to snuff! Ewww on the snake. I'd have trouble teaching knowing there might be a snake loose somewhere.
ReplyDeleteFunny on the mix! Maybe you should have a party?
I think that snake had a little field trip of his own courtesy of a student. Glad he/she is back in town.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's time to host a contest to give away that guacamole mix...Just what do I have to do to win?? I've never seen the Lawry's mix before.
*full body shudder* I clicked on the link to see the snake.. that wasn't the best idea I've ever had. :P This is my first time doing a Friday Fragments, they're good times!
ReplyDelete22 packets of guacamole mix can only mean one thing-
ReplyDeleteTime to throw a PARTY!!
Or it could lead to a hilarious gievaway...
I would have called in sick every day that snake was missing! Heck I don't think I would teach in a school that had a pet snake!
ReplyDeleteI tell ya girl, Stella has been touring the sewer. Heeheehe! They always come back. This is referin' to the Fraternity house snake.
ReplyDeleteI love a good guac, I season my own...betch ya'd love it! :o)
God bless and have a fantastic weekend!!!
Yummmmmmmmmm guacamole! I'll be coming to your house for hors d'oeuvres this week! =)
ReplyDeleteI'm new to the Friday Fragments but I am enjoying reading them (I read Unknown Mami's last week) and decided that I wanted to join in the fun. I look forward to checking out other Fragments! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDelete:-)
Traci
Oh, my fave is hte Lawry's fajita mix; and of course, I can't find it here at all. :(
ReplyDeleteWe lost a snake in our house once. Not a fun feeling. There are a LOT of places for those suckers to hide. The cat finally found her, but I was so nervous about it happening again, I made my husband get rid of her. I'm pretty tolerant, but I've decided I don't like snakes.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the guacamole! And a snake loose, nope not on my watch. I hate snakes.
ReplyDeleteOooo, I like the giveaway idea! Maybe everybody who signs up for Networked Blogs gets a packet?
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, as always!
Mmmmm.... guacamole! I'm soooo hungry now! But I like mine anyway I can get it - even if it's just plain 'ol squished up avocado. I especially like squished avocado with a little olive oil and a little salt and pepper (with chips to dip in it of course).
ReplyDeleteNot sure how to follow your blog on FB - what do I do?
ReplyDeleteSorry ... I am links number 53 and 56. My first link was to my blog in general. The second is to the Friday fragment post. Just learning how to do this and I messed it up the first go round. :)
ReplyDeleteTo Beth, we've all messed up. Welcome to the party.
ReplyDeleteGlad Cooper is still doing great! Wouldn't want you to run out of shopping bags! LOL
Glad Stella found her way back.
Have a great weekend!
~ Cheryl
Love that we did this this week :)
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to have to try that dip mix- I LOVE LOVE LOVE guacamole.
My husband has a "pet" snake and right before we were getting to have a household of guests a few years ago it got loose. We found it just moments before our guests arrived in a closet.
Have a great weekend!
Oopsies! First time using McLinky and I messed up. Good ole #57 should be "kim-d@lifeafter." Do I get a re-do? :)
ReplyDeleteThe very inexperienced and new-to-Friday-Fragments kim-d here again...I just had to let you know that I had a blast doing my Friday Fragments post, and hope to make it a regular thing. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI made guacamole fresh from avocados :)
ReplyDeleteWAIT!!
