Poor thing; when a dog won't eat a peanut butter sandwich, you know he's sick...
"Why the blanket," you ask? That's where the sympathy for me is in order; we came home from school today to find a dog practically bathed in his own....well, since this is a clean blog, I'll stop there. Opening the door, we were greeted by a wave of nausea-inducing stench, which inspired a lot of drama, dry heaves, and a great deal of preparation for the clean-up job. First, I changed into pants that could be thrown away, if necessary, accessorized by rubber boots. We had no masks or rubber gloves, so Kyle and I improvised...
The 4444 family knows how to recycle a plastic grocery bag...
(You're welcome for my cropping out the "offensive" parts in this photo, taken just before Kyle and I lifted the whole thing and carried it outside.) An hour later, we had cleaned the kennel, the dog, and saved the carpet cleaning for the pros (Mr.4444 and a neighbor friend.)
Remind me again why we have a dog???
Ohhh, poor doggie looks so pitiful. And so do you! lol
ReplyDeleteCooper looks pitifull! So sorry you had a mess on your hands but he sure must have been really sick! Look at it this way, it could have been all over your house instead of isolated to one general area. Your reminder as to why you have a dog..... Because 90something % of the time he makes you all smile :o) Hope you are ALL feeling better soon!
ReplyDeletePoor Cooper & poor you and Kyle. I hope there are no more episodes.
ReplyDeleteAw, that is sad. Poor Cooper! I'm sure your doggie felt bad.
ReplyDeleteAww, my little Lily (also a dog..didn't want you to think it was a kiddo) welcomed me with her sickness the other day as well. Gag city I tell ya.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad YOU didn't add to the mess. Way to go!
(P.S. Thanks soo much for the mention yesterday.)
I here you onvr day we came home after 7 hours and miss baily had the tummy issues in the kennel the house was putrid it was the grossest thing every....HB had to go outside and vomit....To this day I wont buy the same airfreshener we were using that day
ReplyDeletePoor you, poor Kyle, poor dog. I don't know who I feel sorrier for. And we recycle plastic bags the same way. I hope everyone is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteOh, no!
ReplyDeleteI just can't do it. I can't have a dog. My boys give me enough of a mess to clean up.
Poor doggie, poor owners. You two look like quite the Hazmat duo. This is why Tiger the Wonder Dog is an outside dog. I sure hope cooper is feelin' better.
ReplyDeleteYou have a fantastic day!!!
Aww... poor Cooper! Hope he is feeling better soon. You hazmat suit is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI know this TOO WELL. My son's boxer is not healthy. Being the first up usually, I get to find the prizes.
ReplyDeleteWakes ya right up.
Poor puppy. Give em luv.
need tyvek jumpsuits?
Oh my gosh that stinks...and I can sympathize with ya here...I hope your doggie gets better soon! ;-) I did a WW of my kiddos in the SC snow! ;-) Hands, House, and Heart Full
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a similar event at our house over 20 years ago. We had "Matty" kept inside a room, and wouldn't be gone very long. When we returned, the ENTIRE room was covered, and I mean COVERED in poop. Smeared from top to bottom, side to side, on every surface imaginable. We could tell he wasn't sick. Apparently he was mad, we assume for being left alone, and he pooped and then (apparently) purposely spread it ALLLLLLL OVERRRRRRRRR the place. I learned how low my gag reflex was that day. The cleanup was beyond description.
ReplyDeleteWhy do we have dogs? Because they're a member of the family. Unconditional love.
Love the cleanup garb! LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you are ALL doing better now!
Because they provide unconditional love...and leave you surprise presents..... :-)
ReplyDeleteOh! poor think hope he is better soon...sorry for you both it's certainly no fun!
ReplyDeletePoor baby.... Yep, thats REALLY bad when a PB sandwich is sitting in front of a dog not eaten!
ReplyDeleteHope he's feeling better!!!
You could totally market that look to dog owners! :)
Poor Puppers! I love the use of the garbage bags! My dog, Chloe, was ill last week and well threw up in her kennel, which was so odd, and then had one accident in the hallway and well we have wooden floors except in the bedrooms, so it was way easier to clean up! Hope he feels better!
ReplyDeletePoor doggie. Hope he is feeling better. My doggie always loves being cuddled up in a blanket.
ReplyDeletePoor puppy! I hope he is feeling better soon. I can only imagine what you and your hubby had to do in order to get it all cleaned up. That is why I don't have a dog.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Wednesday!
oh man. poor cooper... and poor y'all! yikes. that's one thing i do not like about pets: all the gross clean-up. =P
ReplyDeleteOH NO!!! That is the WORST.
ReplyDeleteBut the cool thing? The whole family came together to handle it!
I was happy for you that you keep him in a kennel! I say the same thing about my dog when he makes a mess or wakes us in the night to go outside or just poop, etc.in the house!
ReplyDeleteGood luck:) Do you think he got into something bad or what?
I'm happy to say that Cooper is WAY better today. Not sure what the cause was, but I hope I never see the effect again!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, poor puppy! And YUCK as well! Love the ingenuity of the clean up suits there.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor puppy. :(
ReplyDeleteHope he gets to feeling better soon.
But, that's why I'm glad I don't have any pets.
Oh, gross. poor thing. All of you, actually!
ReplyDeleteoh, poor pooch. one time my daughter left her bedroom door open and her halloween bag on the floor. I spent the next day cleaning up from both ends of the dog - but I felt so bad for the dog because in between his bouts of sickness, he just laid flat on his side. He normally is bouncing everywhere .. I'm glad it's all over and your dog is back to being healthy.
ReplyDeletepoor puppy....
ReplyDeletebut I'm missing somthing....why the whole ski mask plastic baggie thing??
I mean, really,...
course then, I'm a nurse so go figure..
Oh no! Glad Cooper is feeling better though! And I do ask myself that question VERY often? Please remind me?
