Friday Fragments: Episode #88
Even though it's April 1st in Wisconsin, it feels like spring is here, and just as our flowers are poking up through the dead leaves, so are fragments popping up through my muddled brain today. Thankfully, it's Friday, and time to unload all the fragments, here and at Danifred's place :) [To learn more about FF or FNL, click on the buttons above.]
***SuburbanWow is broadcasting live today from Buffalo Wild Wings at 11:00am Central time today! They've hit the big time! How cool is that?! If you have time, please go say hi to Weaselmomma and special guest host, Michelle. from Honest and Truly.
***Hi, my name's Barb, and I'm an owlcoholic, for real. As soon as that last egg hatches (today, I think), I'm going cold turkey (or maybe just partake on weekends.)
***I've recovered from my painting workout on Monday. I learned that I am no longer a spring chicken.
***I've spent the happiest and the saddest moments of my life in churches. From weddings, to funerals, and with baptisms and holidays in between, I'm grateful for churches. After Grandpa 4444 died, just being in my church opened the wound; I cried my way through a few masses during that time. Thankfully, there seem to be more happy times than sad.
***Now that April's here and the Relay for Life is right around the corner, I need to step up my fundraising efforts if I want to reach my goal (and I do!) Please consider helping put a dent in my goal to help fight cancer. Click here or on the button in my sidebar to donate.
***In all honesty, I've only made it through about half of the FF links from last week so far (I blame the owl), but I promise to get to each eventually. So far, my Favorite Friday Fragment came from Messy Mommy.
Dear Raven~ Next time you choose to say to me, "Don't talk to me like that," you should remember who gives the spankings around here.
Signed, empty threats
MM, this award is yours :)
***I felt like a celebrity this week, when not one, but two different IRL people said, "OMG-I love your blog! I read it every day!" (Blush.) What?! Well, yes, they were relatives (Hi, Cousins Laurie and Sue!) but still...
***I've spent far too much time on the computer this week. As a result, I'll be taking Saturday and Sunday off this week for some "family time." Here's hoping that, Christians or not, you and your family enjoy the same.
For your linking pleasure (Friday Fragments and Friday Night Leftovers only, please)....

Awww, thanks for the love. I hope people watch. Especially since I'm sure I'll make a fool of myself. And the wee ones will be ... exhuberent.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that owl hatches quickly! :)
Have a wonderful weekend off! I miss you already.
ReplyDeleteYou may not be a Spring chicken, but you are still a Summer chicken or a late Summer chicken. Certainly not a falling chicken, I mean Fall chicken.
I always get a hoot out of your fragments. I've never met an owlcoholic and I thought I'd seen everything. I do hope ya get treatment so your family can get to know you again. You have a great time with them this Easter weekend.
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a fabulous Friday!!!
A joyous Easter to you and your family..I love your blog too and I'm not family!
ReplyDeleteGood for you doing Relay for Life! My daughter Stephanie is doing it again this year and our family will all be walking with her as well :)
ReplyDeleteGREAT CAUSE!
Have a very blessed Easter!
I loved that fragment of Messy Mommy's too, perfect Favorite Fragment!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet is that Molly Owl?!?
ReplyDeleteI need to lessen my computer time, and next week will be the perfect week.
Hope you're enjoying Spring!!!
Thanks for stopping by and checking up on me! :) It's nice to be back online - though since I'll be gone today I didn't feel right about linking up with FF since I can't really participate, but there's always next week! ;)
ReplyDeleteI always love your fragments - have a wonderful weekend, Happy Easter and enjoy your time with your family! :)
It is somewhat disconcerting when you find out that someone you know IRL is a reader of your blog. Even if they're family!
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family have a wonderful weekend together!
Saturday AND Sunday off?? How dare you!! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family time!
Hallie
I love Messy Mom she cracks me up...I read your blog a lot ...I may not always comment but I am always reading along... Thanks for your fragments and prehaps and owlcoholics meeting is in order don't make me call intervention...lol
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!! Still trying to come up with a SHT. Apparently I'm pretty untalented.
ReplyDeleteI am always relieved when I realize that nobody I really see in everyday life (other than the two people I TOLD about my blog) reads my blog. I would be mortified. I am a lot more, um, tactful in real life. Sometimes, at least.
ReplyDeleteWow, you've been a busy bee with all that painting! I scrolled down to see and it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about being on the computer too much. I often am. LOL Have a great weekend with the fam!!
Just for the record, I love that my family reads my blog. I'm pretty much an open book anyway... :) I very much appreciate anyone taking their time to read my blog; the relationships that have bloomed as a result are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Easter!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed the whole owl thing, and a good thing too, or the boys would have camped out on the computer all week watching. LOL!
ReplyDeleteNice of your cousins to let you know they appreciate your blog. You do have a great blog, easy to read and looks nice too. Enjoy your weekend with your family, and Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteDiscovered Friday Fragments & your blog through Kori, and did my first Friday Fragments post this week!
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of the owl thing. Interesting, to say the least. Good luck with quitting, and I hope the withdrawl's aren't too bad! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that you are getting spring weather, too!!
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter to you!!
Have a lovely weekend! I went over and watched the owl for a little bit - how fun :)
ReplyDeleteKristin - The Goat
I've been watching the owl so much that I didn't even have a fragment this week...I do have pictures, two of which are my daughter watching the owl! Have you given any thought to a support group for owlcoholics, because I think I should be your first member!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Once I'm sure hubby's check has gone through I'm going to donate!! Have a wonderful weekend Mrs. 4444!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm missing something with the owls... I'm so far behind!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and yours! :D
