Firecracker Girls

My dad sometimes used the expression, "She's a real firecracker," so what better day to say a little about my firecracker sisters--Geri, Mary, Judy and Michelle? I can't say enough about their creativity and spunk--Geri, for example (who lives in Alaska) is a world traveler, an English language teacher to adult immigrants, and a tap dancer who turned 60 this year!  My sister Mary simply oozes creativity; as a writer, gardener, realtor, and really everything she takes on.  If you are planning a party and want it to be really special, she is also the best resource for creating an event that everyone will talk about for years (she does it for fun).  Michelle, too, is the kind of girl you want on your team if it has anything to do with coming up with fun, unique, thoughtful ideas and making sure they get implemented with care. (She is also a stand-out mom and daughter, I might add).

Judy, too, is no exception when it comes to creativity and a "can-do" attitude, but especially as it relates to being visually artistic. When she saw my first cake-pops, Judy caught the "bug" and has been baking up a storm ever since. She even took it to the next level and started a business, and it's really taking off!

So, yes; today I'm celebrating the independence of my country, the good ole U.S.A., 

but also the independent, creative, firecrackers spirits of my four beautiful sisters.
