This morning, I found a great tool (via Paul Bucalo) called Pro Writing Aid. It's free, and you don't have to join or download anything to use it--Just paste a writing sample of at least 200 words in, and it will analyze it for a number of writing pitfalls, such as vagueness,
clichés, overused words, sentence length, etc. While I don't see myself as a professional writer or anything (and am probably, in fact, the Queen of Clichés, I do appreciate good writing and am always looking to grow, so I put a favorite blog post in and found lots of issues to clean up. This tool is great for students, bloggers, budding book authors, etc. I thought you might appreciate it.
Off to clean up some posts!
