Super Spider Drama

If you've known me long, you know I've had a few "spider issues" over the past couple of years.  Kendall always seems to be involved, too, in some way or another, and tonight was no exception.  While I am not a fan of spiders, Kendall gets, well, mildly hysterical around them, especially when there is no man in the house to take care of said spiders. Tonight was one of those nights.

You know a spider is huge (and probably crunchy) when it catches your eye as it marches across the living room rug five feet away from where you're sitting.  Impressively, after I pointed it out to her, Kendall leaped up and grabbed a jelly jar to put over it. I slid a notecard beneath the jar, and Kendall "bravely" carried the spider to the bathroom. The resulting drama made us laugh so hard (during and afterwards) that our stomachs ached and tears ran from our eyes.

Warning: you may need to turn your volume down for this video. (Don't say I didn't warn you.)

  4. that spider was HUGE! We have been having a lot of spiders lately in the classroom. The other day though I walked out onto the playground and the kids dropped a huge FROG on my clipboard.

  5. I would have been right there with you SCREAMING! That was so gross to watch. By the way, good thing your toilet was sparkling clean so you could share this video without shame.

  6. Question - have you used that particular toilet since? Screaming in the bathroom - you might be able to sell the soundtrack. At least you have a good one for Halloween. Ah, next time just throw the jar out in the yard.

  8. You girls were hilarious!!!! Kendall can really scream (high pitched and all)and what a trooper for going after that jar. Next time you do use that toilet make sure you check under the seat as that was one big spider and he may just come back and bite you girls in the butt :)
