Friday Fragments: Episode #237

Mommy's Idea

Welcome!!! Happy Friday! Let's get fraggin'!

***Is it just me, or does Prince Michael lack his father's charisma? I know the kid is only 16, but if not for his lineage, I'm certain he would have never even make it past the first audition (assuming he had one); he seems comfortable but yet so stiff on camera.

***Music programs in public schools have the power to save the spirits of children whose lives are otherwise filled with pain. Just sayin'.

***I really don't mind turning 50 this year, but it's occurred to me recently that I have fewer years ahead of me than behind me (most likely), and that is startling to me! I have a lot more life that I plan on living; I need to get my butt on the treadmill.

***I almost lopped my thumb off last weekend. That knife is at least two years old and still a deadly weapon--Think I should contact the Wustoff folks and offer to be a spokesperson?

***Tonight, I printed off 36 pages of documentation of communication with a parent so far this year. Yes, I said a parent, not three or four or five parents; just one, and most of that documenting was done on my own time. Every year, I have one or two students requiring time like this. Every year, I also have at least three students for whom I have to hold two or three extra IEP meetings. So don't worry; I'm earning my summer off.

***Today it seemed like my classroom was Comedy Central. I'm looking forward to writing that post.

Okay, that about does it for me! Thanks for stopping by, sharing your link, and visiting other fragmenters; I couldn't host without you! :)

Speaking of visitors, I'd like to recognize some Fantastic Fragmenters--If you're so inclined, please nominate a fragmenter or two that you appreciate for their regular visits--I know there are some of you who really go out of your way to visit fragmenters and encourage newcomers, and I really appreciate that. Friday Fragments would not be what it is without your support.

  1. Ouch your thumb makes me nauseous. 50 turned it 2 months ago and it's not too bad. Look forward to hearing about comedy central.
