You Might Live in Da U.P. if...

You might live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan if....

Your highways are wonderfully maintained,

if you grow your own snowballs...

if you take your kid to day care in one of these...

if you hear a loud noise on the side of the road and see these
(or have been to Gino's!),

if you use a four-wheeler to plow your sidewalk,

if you see snowmen walking to work...

if no one can see your house from the road...

if you have to spend more than $50 to put gas in your *snowblower,

and if you'd consider taking a dip in this, just for fun.

(And no, that's not surf; it's ice.)

Thanks, Michigan; though I had to visit you for a sad reason (funeral), you lifted my heart.

*For those curious, in Calumet, snow plows push the snow to the middle of the road, where this snow thrower is used to shoot the snow up into dump trucks that move it to other locations.
(Speicial thanks to Mr.4444, for pointing this out to me at the gas station and explaining what it's for.)
