Friday Fragments, Episode #241

Mommy's Idea

Welcome to Friday Fragments, the post with the most (randomness, that is). Join in; share the bits and pieces from your week that didn't quite make it into posts of their own but are still cluttering your mind. On with the fragments!

***I was talking to the secretary at my chiropractor's office about how one of my Difference Makers (who happens to be poor) has never been to Smart Cow and how much I wish I could afford to take the ten kids there at the end of our year. Suddenly, she reaches under the counter and then hands me a Smart Cow gift card that she'd received as a gift and tells me she wants me to use it for the kids! How cool is that?!

***My 50th birthday is April 26th, and it'll be here before we know it.  If you missed my Wondering What to Get Me for My Birthday? post, you can click on it in my sidebar. Basically, I want my first 50 years on earth to stand for something, and I'm hoping that you will either give blood, make a donation to something awesome, or just do a random act of kindness in honor of my birthday.  I've created a sweet little Google doc for keeping track of my goal of getting 50 people to make a difference in honor of my big day. Click here to see my progress and/or to add your offering. (And don't laugh, please; a girl's gotta start somewhere.)

***Speaking of birthdays, I almost didn't have one this year; today, a student threatened to kill me! Don't worry; it's all in a day's work. Besides, I deserved it; I had the nerve to tell him that he needed to complete three minutes-worth of homework and added insult to injury by offering to help him. I should know better!haha

***Kyle and his girlfriend, Alayna, are in San Francisco, on Spring Break. I'm so jealous (happy for them, but envious), because he's spending time with three of my favorite people on the planet, including this little stinker:

Nice outfit, huh? That's what they brought their hosts for letting them stay with them. I couldn't think of a better gift; we clearly raised that kid right!

***In case you missed it, on Monday, I posted an audio recording of Kendall singing Hallelujah. Incidentally, the boy she sang it with (he played the mandolin and sang, too.) won! It was a great show filled with entertainment and a very successful fundraiser, if the packed house was any indication.

***Wedding on Friday, camera class and volunteering on Saturday, and chillin' on Sunday. What's on your docket?

Now it's your turn! Link your Friday Fragments up below. [If this is your first time linking up, please click on the FF tab above to learn more. Thanks!]
