Human Body Hilarity

We are once again at that point in 6th grade science class that we cover the Human Body unit, and as usual, it isn't disappointing.

Last week, students were drawing zombies that included cut-outs that revealedd internal organs, along with descriptions of their functions.

I can't tell you how badly I wanted to whip out a camera to capture a sketch by a little boy who thought it would be fun to draw a body hovering above its lower torso, the spine coming out of the pants of the zombie he was drawing in class. He'd forgotten that the spine is a collection of vertebrae and instead drew something very much like this, rising up from the wasteline of his zombie's pants.
Yes, I'm serious, and yes; he was completely innocent. It was all I could do to keep from busting a gut!!  Since it was clear that he took great pride in his drawing ability, I carefully encouraged him to look at the classroom skeleton to re-draw that part more "realistically." Thankfully, he loved my idea.
